As an immigrant from Latin America, Rocio personal experience and understanding of what it is like to feel isolated from communities and to be viewed as 'an outsider', for wich most of her professional work has been connected to exploring issues surrounding segregation based on race, class and gender. One of the most recent projects, 'Being Present', for example, brought together women from a diverse range of cultural heritages and explored, through spontaneous creative acts, the impact that moving from their homelands had on both themselves and their children, some of whom were born in Britain.
Rocio holds MA in Art and Architecture, which specialised in public art focusing on environmental considerations when creating art in public spaces.
All work will make a pleasing collection which will represent a future proof of excellent investment.
From her workshop she offers a bespoken framing service, with hand finishes (plain, painted or gilded)as well restoration and conservation work.
